Welcome to Christ The King Anglican Church

We have our Sunday service starting at 10:30 every Sunday morning in the Church in the Park, Almancil. The service is also available on Zoom and afterwards on YouTube via the website. We have Holy Communion at the present time by intinction or by using individual small wine glasses.

On the 2nd & 4th Sundays during the Summer, we have a Kids Bible class for children ages 5 to 11 during the sermon. Parents, you are welcome to join us in accompanying your children who are younger than 5 years old!

Here at Christ The King Anglican Church in the Algarve we run a number of midweek groups and you would be welcome to join us.  You can see exactly what is happening each week by looking at our Calendar page.

During the week there is a Wednesday morning service with Bible study at 10:30 in the Church in the Park, Almancil and on Friday at Tavira Gardens Restaurant, Sitio Cara de Pau, EN125, Tavira also at 10:30.

We have four Home Groups (Branch Groups) who meet on Zoom for Bible study and to pray for each other.

We regularly run an Alpha course periodically.  If you would like to know more about this then take a look at our Alpha page and/or contact our Secretary.

We have crafting groups known as the Church Mice and the Sewing Bee that meet regularly.  Everyone is welcome with an opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends. We always need people to make the tea and coffee and other non crafty jobs so you are very welcome to join us for a social time even if crafting isn't your thing.

We keep our Calendar page as up to date as possible so please check with that, but feel free to contact our Secretary about anything at all and she will do her best to help you.

See you soon – in person or online!

Finding us

Whether you are living here in the Algarve permanently, or part-time, we would love you to see Christ The King as part of your family. We have many members who spend parts of the year here in Portugal and parts of the year in the UK, as well as many members who live here full time.

At home, or on a journey?

Or, maybe you are visiting Family in the Algarve and are looking for somewhere to visit? After all, holidays are a gift from God – even the name betrays their spiritual origins. Holy days are part of the rhythm of work and rest; a rhythm that God intended for human flourishing. We don't holiday from God, we holiday with God, and so it makes all the sense in the world for us to meet with His people during our holiday.
