New Sermon Series for February

New Sermon Series for February

As the Church Year moves towards Lent and the passion, crucifixion and joyous Resurrection of Holy Week, Rev’d Mike Clarkson has launched a new Preaching Schedule for the Almancil Congregation for the 4 weeks of February.

Called “The Big Picture” Rev’d Mike aims to reveal through Scripture and Biblical truths the VISION that God has for his people.

The next four weeks have been crafted to show that since the start of time God has had a vision for us that has been communicated through the Old Testament Prophets and Jesus Christ through to the presence of the Holy Spirit in our modern age.

Questions to be discussed include:

What is does God mean by Vision?

What are its component parts?

How do we get there?

How do we see the direction to be travelled?

On February 14th, 2021, the Congregation will be joined by Bishop Andy Lines who will use the visit to expand further on the idea of the Big Picture – by looking at the Vision for God’s Church in both The Algarve and in the wider context of Europe.

Says Rev’d Mike “This past year of the Pandemic has brought confusion, concern and a lack of clarity about what the future may hold, and throughout this time All Saints has provided strong support and comfort for its congregations, in addition to the spiritual food that we all need and long for. Finding God’s vision is challenging, but if take time to work on it we will have a clear Vision for the future of our Church.”

Come and hear what Rev’d Mike and Bishop Lines have to say about

“The Big Picture”.
