Branch Groups
Growing in strength as we support each other
For well over three years now, Christ The King has been building and developing Branch groups to provide a strong sense of fellowship and support, together with Discipleship training.
But what, you ask, is a Branch Group and what does it do? A Branch Group is simply a small group of people who commit to meet regularly to study the Bible and other issues connected to Christian formation and development. We do this with book studies, film and video, music and group discussion and personal application.
But that is not all a Branch Group does. They also support, encourage, recommend, advise, commiserate and share the joys – the highs and the lows of life — in a safe, secure and confidential environment. They share birthdays, anniversaries, births, weddings and all that life brings.
How do Branch Groups meet?
At CTK we are blessed to have four branch groups currently. All the groups follow a similar programme of study, but the scheduling may change according to the individual group dynamics. Three groups meet by the magic of ZOOM and one is face to face.
All of them are led by a member of the group who is responsible for the administration, setting up the meeting and starting the conversation. From then on, it’s up the members of the group to determine the direction.
Does that sound interesting or something you would like to know more about? Each Branch Group has an open invitation for you to join them. Or maybe the time has arrived for a new group to be founded in a different location. Whatever! Just pick up a phone and talk to me and together we can find a group that would be just great for you. Then try it out and see what you think!
I look forward to hearing from you
