Prayer

Prayer is an important part of the life of Christ The King.  Every Sunday we pray around the building for protection over our place of meeting and for the service. On Mondays we have an online prayer meeting, and we have a prayer notice in our weekly Church Bulletin for the prayer needs of our church family, their family and friends, the community we are in, the Church and needs of the world.

Here at Christ The King we believe that God provides all things, and we trust Him for this.  However, it is important to explain that Christ The King Anglican Church is totally financially self-supporting. Although we are an Anglican Church belonging to the Worldwide Anglican Communion, we do not receive any outside financial support. On the contrary, we ourselves support the mission work of our Bishop and other Christian organisations plus local charities.

Offerings made at our Sunday Services are greatly appreciated and some people tithe by subscribing to the weekly/monthly envelope scheme or regular bank transfers. Our bank details are below.

For residents in Portugal, these donations are valid for tax relief here in Portugal on your annual tax return.  Our treasurer can explain this more fully and also how to obtain the correct receipts to attach to your annual tax returns, you can contact her on treasurer@ctk.pt
