Let us remember today that the Word, made flesh at Christmas, was always with God, always expressing his creative love.
Dear God, we pray for the areas of the Church which are weak in Faith, despondent or complacent; that we may be recharged with the power of your love and reawakened with the gift of your son Jesus. Wendy sale for your love and protection for those who worship in the Province of Central Africa.
Lord in Your mercy
Hear our prayer
We pray for the troubled areas of the world where corruption, injustice and violence ruins lives and damage self-worth. Guide the leaders in authority more ready to listen than instruct, to encourage rather than crush. In a moment of silence let us bring before God those countries at war.

We pray for all those we have spent time with over this Christmas season, the good and also the disturbing conversations. For family feuds and difficulties to be resolved and learnt from; for the words we speak in the future to express love and respect with true charity and forgiveness.

We pray for those who are sick in body, mind or spirit and especially those on our prayer list. Take a moment to bring to mind those closest to your heart at this time.
We pray for all those who have difficulty hearing and speaking, reading and writing;
For the oppressed and persecuted whose voices are silenced and for all who have yet to hear the good news of God’s love.

We pray for those who have recently died and all who grieve for them. We ask for comfort to be given to the dying and your great love bring them safely to your eternal kingdom, where suffering and pain is no more.

Dear Lord our God we offer you our thanks and praise for coming amongst us as an innocent baby, showing us the way the truth and the light into eternal life.
Merciful Father,
accept these prayers
for the sake of your Son,
our Saviour Jesus Christ.
