Intercessions
15th October 2023
We come to you, o Lord, with open hearts giving you our thanks and praise. We offer up our prayers for the needs of the Church, the world and all its people.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, you promised through your son, Jesus Christ, to hear us when we pray in faith.
Lord, our maker, when there was nothing but emptiness and darkness you created this world and brought forth the light. You provide us with everything we could ever need and we come here today to offer up our thanks. We can never praise you enough as your love is unending and your forgiveness of our offences never ceases. Creator Lord create in us today a people worthy to be called your children.

Master, we pray today for your Church worldwide. We pray that more people hear the gospel and turn to the light, let them gaze upon your love and see that there is only one true God and that you are our shepherd and where you lead us we will follow.
We give thanks for all those involved with the running of Christ the King and say a special thank you for the Rev. Mike Starkey.
We lift up The Anglican Church of Kenya in prayer safe in the knowledge that you know their needs.

God, the all-powerful one, every week we pray for peace but there is so much greed and hate in the world that the wars and suffering never stops. As the Israel/ Palestine conflict continues so the focus of the Ukraine/Russia war shifts. Let the world not take sides but take action to resolve these situations. Let those countries that offer help, offer peaceful solutions and not cash in on the misery and suffering that is on both sides. Let us not forget the suffering in other parts of the world, civil wars causing casualties and displacement, drug wars resulting in violence and unrest.
God, that is all powerful we ask for your help.

The God who sees, helps us to see clearly, open our eyes to the suffering and needs of others. We acknowledge how lucky we are to live in a country while family and community are held in utmost importance.
Let us reach out into the community and extend our family, let us break down the barriers of hate, discrimination and racism and bring love, peace and joy to others.
Lord in Your mercy

The Lord who heals, we pray for the many on our prayer list. Let us put our trust in you. Let us be bold in our requests, we know that you Lord are the great healer and all cures come from. In a moment of silence we pray for those that are on our hearts today.

Lord of peace, we lift up the names of those that have recently died and we also remember those that we have loved but still miss. May they be at peace, may they now feel your unending love surround them. Give strength and comfort to those that are grieving.
