Intercessions

We thank You that we are part of a worldwide Christian community joined together around the globe today in praise and worship to You. Thank You for the diversity of peoples that are proud to call You their Saviour. We pray for safety for our fellow believers who have to meet in secret because of persecution. Grant them strength and perseverance in their faith and comfort in the knowledge that You are always at their side. In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the church in the Province of the Indian Ocean.
Lord in Your mercy
Hear our prayer
We pray for our families and friends for whom this week has not gone as they had hoped. We ask for wisdom for doctors and nurses as they look after the patients in their care and solutions to difficult medical problems. We pray for miracles of healing that only You can perform Lord. Thank you, Lord that Sue Minnis’ operation went well, and she is now back home. In the quietness of our own hearts, we give thanks for those who have received your healing touch this week and those still in need.

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Margaret on Thursday. She was a much loved member of Christ The King. We also mourn the loss of Maree last weekend for whom we had been praying. She was known to several of our church family. We rejoice in the knowledge that these 2 ladies are now with you in heaven. We pray for comfort for those of us left behind and for families everywhere mourning the loss of someone they loved.

We place ourselves and this coming week into your hands Lord. As we go about our busy lives helps us to find time to sit quietly and listen to Your still small voice guiding us in what we say and do.
