Intercessions

22nd June 2025

Heavenly Father we come before you with thanksgiving for your mercy and grace.  And on this glorious mid-Summer day we give thanks for the beauty and wonder of the world around us as we bring before you our concerns and prayers for the world, our local community and the Church.

Father, we pray for all Christian churches throughout the world as they meet to worship and praise you and enjoy fellowship with each other. We pray for your blessing on our church - Christ The King, our Bishop Andy Lines and our  Ministers, Steve & Mike and for Lay Leaders and all who work tirelessly for this church. Grant them wisdom, patience, strength and a willing and loving heart. May your love and presence be seen vividly in all that we do and say.

Father, we pray for the mission of our Church. We pray unify us, equip us and send us out to share your love and truth through the power of the Holy Spirit

Lord, we pray for the current Alpha Course and for all of those who are part of this ministry. For both the guests and the leaders as together, they freely explore the Christian faith. We give thanks that the Holy Spirit weekend was such a very special important time and ask that you continue to bless the ongoing study sessions.

We pray for the Ladies Brunch Group that meets this week. Bind them together Lord as a community that cares for each other and rushes to help when needed.

Father, we lift up before you our Branch Groups and their leaders. We pray for our Bible Study groups in Almancil and in Tavira and we pray for our fledgling Christian Nepalese Fellowship.

We pray that as they gather to read the scriptures and hear the word that they grow in their love and understanding of your mercy & grace and bond together in a Christian community to support and encourage each other.

We thank you Lord for the team that you have assembled here and who work tirelessly behind the scenes - we see your fingerprints on every individual, fashioned by you into a cohesive whole. We thank you for the service of our Council, our Prayer Warriors, our Music and Sound Team, our Altar Guild, our Safeguarding Team, and our Media & Communications Team. All who give their time and talents selflessly and with grace. Strengthen and bless them, Lord.  And we thank you for those who are the eyes, the hands, the legs, the feet of this church and for all our brothers and sisters who join together to worship you.
