Intercessions
28th September 2025
Lord, we know you that you listen when we pray in faith. Hear us now as we give thanks for the wonderful world you have given us. We have been blessed with this beautiful earth and thank you for the cooler weather in recent days.
Lord in Your mercy
Hear our prayer
Heavenly Father, we lift up to you all those who are living in the midst of war, suffering and poverty, and we pray for those who are working to find a way forward for peace in the world. We ask that you give them wisdom to make the right decisions and strength to carry them out in the face of opposition.
Lord in Your mercy
Hear our prayer
Lord, we pray for our Church, here at Christ The King, and we thank you for Rev Steve and Mike, our ministers, and all the Lay people involved in the smooth running of our Church. Lord, we have the freedom to pray, in our Church, so we particularly pray for those who have to worship behind closed doors and cannot say they are Christians. We pray for all the Churches around the world, especially the Province of the Episcopal Church of Sudan. Lord, we pray for an end to the conflict and hardship in that region of the world.
Lord in Your mercy
Hear our prayer
We pray for all those who are on our hearts and on our prayer list who are sick or terminally ill, and all those receiving debilitating treatment for various illnesses. Let them feel Your presence and give them Your peace.
Lord in Your mercy
Hear our prayer
Almighty God, we ask You to bless all those who have died in recent weeks and give solace and comfort to those who mourn. Fill them with Your compassion and love and give them courage to face the future without their loved ones.
Lord in Your mercy
Hear our prayer
As we step out into the coming week, bring us ever closer to You and let us be beacons of light to others and reflections of Christ’s love for us.
Merciful Father,
accept these prayers
for the sake of your Son,
our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Amen.
